Silesse is a distinguished noble cultivar from the bushlands of Malekula, Vanuatu’s second-largest island renowned for its rich cultural heritage and agricultural treasures.
Exceptional cultivar from Malekula – Vanuatu’s second largest island, famous for its extensive kava gardens. Though valued by indigenous peoples for generations, this rare cultivar was seldom seen beyond the island. Vincent Lebot, Mark Merlin and Lamont Lindstrom mentioned Silesse in “Kava: The Pacific Elixir” (1997), but its availability remained limited.
