Palarasul

Palarasul is a cultivar from Espiritu Santo, locally known as Bir Sul (“yellow kava”) for the distinctive yellow tone of its leaves. It is grown on only one island and most of what is produced is used locally, which makes it a specialty cultivar rather than a commodity one.

The aromatic character is smooth and clean, with citrus-herbal brightness at the front, gentle warm spice through the middle, and a clear well-balanced finish. Of all our cultivars, Palarasul is the one most likely to land with someone who finds peppery or resinous profiles too dense. Pigment colour runs bright gold to rich honey.
