Rare cultivar from Espiritu Santo, Vanuatu. Named after the reddish colour of its stems (the word “kar” means red). Cultivated exclusively in the heartland of Santo island, where it is highly valued by local communities. Dr Vincent Lebot and Patricia Simeoni described Bir Kar as an exceptional example of a high-quality cultivar.

In accordance with EU regulations, this product is intended for natural textile dyeing and aromatherapy applications.
